Privacy Policy for LocalFlux
Effective date: April 22, 2026
LocalFlux is operated by Fuzzysense. If you have privacy questions about LocalFlux, you can contact us at privacy@localflux.app or visit https://localflux.app.
Overview
LocalFlux is a Windows desktop app for local file conversion. LocalFlux is designed so that your files stay on your device during normal use. The app does not require an account, does not upload your files to Fuzzysense for conversion, and does not send usage analytics or remote crash reports as part of normal app use.
Information LocalFlux Does Not Collect or Send
During normal use of the LocalFlux app:
- LocalFlux does not require you to create an account.
- LocalFlux does not upload the files you choose to convert to Fuzzysense.
- LocalFlux does not send usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or remote crash reports to Fuzzysense.
- LocalFlux does not depend on a cloud conversion service to complete its main conversion workflow.
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
LocalFlux may store limited app data locally on your device so the app can work as expected. Depending on how you run the app, this data may be stored in the app’s local storage or under your Windows local app data folder.
This local data can include:
- app settings, such as theme preference, output location preference, and window placement
- local diagnostic records related to conversion failures
- local crash logs created if the app encounters a startup or application error
This information is stored locally for app functionality and troubleshooting. It is not automatically transmitted to Fuzzysense by the app.
Files You Choose to Convert
When you use LocalFlux, the files you select are processed locally on your Windows device using bundled conversion components. Converted files are written to a location you choose or to the default output location selected in the app.
LocalFlux may temporarily read, write, or validate local files as part of the conversion process. These operations happen on your device. Fuzzysense does not receive your source files or converted files through the normal operation of the app.
Network Use and External Services
LocalFlux is intended to operate offline for its normal workflow after installation. In normal use, the app does not make network calls for queueing files, choosing formats, or running conversions.
If you choose to open a web link from the app, such as the privacy policy link, Windows may launch your web browser and connect to that destination. If you obtain LocalFlux through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may also process information under its own privacy terms as part of Store installation, licensing, updates, payments, or platform operations. Those activities are governed by Microsoft’s policies, not this Privacy Policy.
Retention and Your Choices
Because LocalFlux stores its app data locally on your device, you generally control that data. You can remove converted files, clear app data, uninstall the app, or delete local settings and log files from your device, subject to normal Windows behavior and any files you choose to keep.
Children’s Privacy
LocalFlux is not directed to children under 13, and Fuzzysense does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to LocalFlux, legal requirements, or our business practices. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
